I'm pretty much loving every. single. item. from Pigeon Toe Ceramics. I'll be saving my pennies for the chevron pixel napkins and a few of the mason jar votive lanterns. They would be perfect for a simple, summer dinner party. Don't you think?

movie night: al fresco

Someday when Kiwi and I have a yard and not just a balcony, this is how I would like to spend my summer evenings. The twinkling lights, the comfy cushions and a big bowl of popcorn.... Now that's what I call a movie night!

The new arrivals from ban.do have been making the rounds on the blogs lately... and while I love their sparkly accessories as much as the next girl {I wore this one at our wedding rehearsal dinner} it's the ultra high, perfectly messy bun that has really grabbed my attention. I'm planning on adopting it as my go-to hairstyle for spring. Who's with me?

How perfect are these little stemless Spanish wine glasses? I spotted them a few days ago on Remodelista and I can't stop thinking about them. They would be amazing for parties.... just add some tapas and you're good to go!

I am in love with the idea of using a vintage steamer trunk as a fun alternative to the traditional side table. The best part? The trunk belonged to the homeowner's great grandmother and even has her name printed on the side. Stylish and sentimental... My favorite combination.

I am obsessed with Bravo's new show 9 By Design. The series gives you a peek inside the lives of genius designers Robert and Courtney Novogratz and their family of seven children! How they manage to be so cool and stylish with all those kids running around is seriously beyond me... They just released a new home decor book called Downtown Chic and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

*I told Kiwi if we ever win the lottery we are totally hiring them to renovate our next house. Hey, a girl can dream right?

Swimsuit season is in full swing here in Arizona... When I saw this pretty little roundup of suits from Anthropologie my heart literally skipped a beat. I'm torn between the polka dot maillot and the sassy little black number.

*What are your thoughts on the high waisted look? I know it's all the rage but I just don't know if I can pull it off.

Lately I have been getting a serious urge to paint my nails. Maybe a classic cherry red? The bad news is, in dental hygiene school you are not allowed to paint your nails at all.... If they catch you, points are docked from your clinic grade. Until school is out for the summer I will just have to live vicariously through these pretty, pretty pictures.

Linda & Harriett sent me a sneaky little email alerting me of the sale they are currently holding. They make the most darling paper goods... I'm dying to send someone this champagne corks card!

*Does it count as cheating if I bought these to use in The Longhand Rally? I am completely out of stationary and I have a pen pal depending on me!

confession...

soooo i saw this movie over the weekend. am i proud of it? no, but i will admit that i {secretly} enjoyed it. more than anything it gave me the overwhelming urge to layer, layer, layer. i'm pretty much ready to pack up and move to the pacific northwest. the desert is finally starting to cool down and i can't wait to start shopping for winter coats and cardigans.
