packing for paris...

Well kids, it's shaping up to be a busy week! Kiwi and I were invited to his cousin's wedding in Paris this weekend so we decided to be spontaneous and booked a couple of last minute tickets. We leave on Thursday and arrive home late Sunday night. Talk about a whirlwind trip! So my question is this... If you had one weekend to spend in Paris what would you do? I'd love to hear your suggestions and recommendations!

fika: coffee break

Fika is the Swedish tradition of taking a break with friends, family or colleagues to have coffee accompanied by baked goods, cookies or cake. I love the idea of taking a few minutes out of the day to pause and enjoy a little moment of camaraderie... not to mention a hot coffee and sweet treat. Forget bringing back cocktail hour... I'm all about fika.

I spent an amazing weekend in Napa with some of my favorite girlfriends and I just had to share a few photos with you guys. Out of all the vineyards we visited I would have to say Rombauer and Saddleback Cellars were my favorites. The weather was perfect and the company was even better.... it was so good to catch up on girl talk and to just relax. That night we went to Morimoto for dinner {for all you Iron Chef fans} and on the last day we soaked up some rays at Stinson Beach. It was a wonderful weekend with an amazing group of friends. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the valley!

*I made the girls watch the movie Bottle Shock after our day in Napa and they all loved it. If you are a wine lover or even just a Chris Pine fan I would definitely recommend it!
