After taking my board exam on Wednesday, I figured I was due for some much needed retail therapy. I scored this great top and this comfy cardigan from Anthropologie and both were on sale! Hey, at least I'll look cute while I wait for the test results.

I'm not a fashion blogger by any stretch of the imagination... but I thought Anne Hathaway looked absolutely beautiful in all eight of her costume changes last night. However, if I had to choose a favorite, it would have to be that fabulous, fringed Oscar de la Renta number. Every girl needs a dress that makes her want to do a little dance. What was your favorite look from the Academy Awards?

I went to a birthday party over the weekend and everywhere I looked I saw the most adorable plaid prints. Normally I'm not big on plaid but I asked some of the girls where they got their outfits from and it turns out, they were both from Old Navy! Needless to say, I booked it to the nearest O.N. and snagged this sweet little shirtdress for five bucks!

*I'm thinking of belting it and wearing it with some cute flats for a more feminine feel. What would you wear it with?

I wish I could pull off a summer look like this. She is so put together, but doesn't seem like she's trying too hard. How do those French women do it? The shoes, the bag {oh the bag!} and that breezy shirt... perfection.

post spending hiatus purchases

I recently made my first foray into post spending hiatus shopping. Christy and I headed to Fashion Square to see what they had to offer. Overall, I think I did pretty well... I scored this sweet little cardigan from J. Crew and this comfy hoodie from Anthropologie. The best part is they were both on sale!

*I really stuck to my guns and didn't buy anything that I didn't absolutely love. If something didn't fit just right or the quality looked poor I put it back on the rack and walked away. It felt great.

chic swimsuits

Swimsuit season is in full swing here in Arizona... When I saw this pretty little roundup of suits from Anthropologie my heart literally skipped a beat. I'm torn between the polka dot maillot and the sassy little black number.

*What are your thoughts on the high waisted look? I know it's all the rage but I just don't know if I can pull it off.
