After taking my board exam on Wednesday, I figured I was due for some much needed retail therapy. I scored this great top and this comfy cardigan from Anthropologie and both were on sale! Hey, at least I'll look cute while I wait for the test results.

Well friends, the time has come... I take my dental hygiene National Boards tomorrow and I am pretty darn nervous. I've studied my little heart out and I think I'm ready. Prayers, happy thoughts and good vibes would be very much appreciated. Wish me luck!

I am up to my eyeballs in projects, papers and studying for my first set of dental hygiene board exams. I saw this little message and thought it would make a good mantra for this week. Come on Monday, let's dance.

Today I started my last year of dental hygiene school! The first day of school is always so exciting, but I am definitely going to miss sleeping in, overdosing on daytime television and lazy days spent reading by the pool. So long summer, it's been real.

Now that school is starting up again, it's time to work on organizing my home office. I needed a little inspiration, so I turned to the Design Sponge Best of Offices series for ideas on how to perk up my workspace. I'm a sucker for beautiful bulletin boards and a freshly sharpened pencil.

Lately I have been getting a serious urge to paint my nails. Maybe a classic cherry red? The bad news is, in dental hygiene school you are not allowed to paint your nails at all.... If they catch you, points are docked from your clinic grade. Until school is out for the summer I will just have to live vicariously through these pretty, pretty pictures.

*For those of you that are permitted to wear nail polish... What is your favorite shade?

i'm gearing up for the final weekend of wedding preparations! after three tests and a presentation looming on monday all i want to do is curl up in bed and sleep. luckily, i've got a pretty amazing support team. i'm pretty sure without my amazing friends i would have given up on wedding planning a long time ago. t-minus eight days!

lavender lemonade

it's been a long week at school... i'd like to kick of my shoes and sit on the patio with a lovely lavender lemonade courtesy of design sponge. here's hoping the weekend leaves you energized, refreshed and ready to take on the world (or at least monday).

*i know everyone is so excited about fall... but when it is 95 degrees here in the desert, it's still entirely possible to sit poolside with a nice cocktail. no?

today is my first day of dental hygiene school... i am super nervous but excited to be back in the classroom. i thought i was done with higher learning once i finished undergrad... silly me.
