to pin or not to pin?

I have been considering jumping on the Pinterest bandwagon for quite a while now... but I keep wondering if I really need another outlet for wandering {wasting time on} the internets. I can already tell that it is going to be seriously addicting. So tell me, do you pin?

*Pinterest goodness found here, here and here.

**Update: I took the plunge and I absolutely love it. My user name is iheartkiwi if you care to follow along!

i heart anne hathaway

I'm not a fashion blogger by any stretch of the imagination... but I thought Anne Hathaway looked absolutely beautiful in all eight of her costume changes last night. However, if I had to choose a favorite, it would have to be that fabulous, fringed Oscar de la Renta number. Every girl needs a dress that makes her want to do a little dance. What was your favorite look from the Academy Awards?

eat pray love

I am ridiculously excited to see this movie. It contains all my favorite things... food, travel and Javier Bardem.

*Have you read the book? Check it out before you see the movie, it's amazing.

our mad men premiere party!

{libations}

{martinis for everyone}

{garnish}

{vintage accessories}

{the inspiration}

{we heart mad men}

{with a twist}

{mix it up}

Kiwi and I are Mad Men fanatics {okay, mostly me but Kiwi is pretty hooked too} so when Season 4 kicked off I knew we had to celebrate. We drank martinis and Manhattans and snacked on retro appetizers like pigs in a blanket and port wine cheese balls. Add a little Chubby Checker on the stereo and you've got yourself a party. I think Don Draper would be proud.

*Grandmas are the best source for Mad Men inspiration. Mine was kind enough to lend me the awesome fur stole and vintage pearls. Man, those were the days...

an education

{photos via i am a greedy girl}

Carey Mulligan is my new favorite. My mom and I saw An Education a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. She was brilliant, you couldn't take your eyes off of her... and don't even get me started on how adorable she looked on the red carpet. Her little Prada number was just stunning.

*Who do you think had the best Oscar look?

confession...

soooo i saw this movie over the weekend. am i proud of it? no, but i will admit that i {secretly} enjoyed it. more than anything it gave me the overwhelming urge to layer, layer, layer. i'm pretty much ready to pack up and move to the pacific northwest. the desert is finally starting to cool down and i can't wait to start shopping for winter coats and cardigans.

*j. crew you may not be edgy, but you certainly look cozy.
