my bachelorette party is coming up this weekend! we're heading up to beautiful santa barbara for a little fun in the sun and a wine tasting tour by bicycle! i can't wait... is it friday yet?

*the lovely folks at santa barbara adventure co. have informed us it's 4-5 miles between vineyards... maybe i should have been training for this.

she bangs

just like all the other pseudo hipsters... i saw 500 days of summer this weekend. i must say, it reallyreallyreally made me want to cut my bangs. zooey deschanel looked amazing in every scene. and while we're on the topic... how adorable was joseph gordon-levitt? he's come so far since 3rd rock.

*added bonus... the soundtrack is amazing. go get it.

bridal bootcamp: it's getting hot in here

i tried bikram yoga for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it. i have never sweated that much in my entire life. it's going to be a great addition to bridal bootcamp.

*when you leave class and walk out into the 105 degree arizona heat and it feels cool, that's how you know it was hot in there.

girl put your records on...

kiwi and i are slowly starting to check things of the wedding "to do" list. next up, sending our dj the final paperwork and some song selections. kiwi and i are both a little nervous.... there is a lot riding on the music and a good dj (in our opinion) can really make or break a wedding. i've been leaning heavily on the awesome play lists over at the flashdance. so keep your fingers crossed!

*i really wish our dj would update the music list they send out... some of the suggestions are positively medieval. i swear, if who let the dogs out was an option i wouldn't be surprised.

reality check

i just realized we only have 110 days left until the wedding... it seems like just yesterday we had almost a year (read: eternity) to plan. feeling a bit stressed.

peru: machu picchu

few experiences can compare to watching the sunrise over the mountains of machu picchu... there is an energy about the place that is almost impossible to describe. photos do not even begin to do it justice.

peru: swimming with the sea lions

our first day in lima was full of adventure... we weren't planning on getting up close and personal with sea lions, but when the opportunity arises who are we to say no? the most amazing thing was seeing the lumbering creatures look so clumsy on land and so graceful below the water. it was an awesome experience.

*have you ever wondered what 2,000 sea lions smell like? trust me, you don't want to know.
