let there be light

{image via we heart it}

We have been without power for just over 24 hours. Why you ask? Because my darling husband forgot to pay our electricity bill. The poor man just totally forgot {in his defense, he's been crazy busy at work lately}... We quickly corrected the mistake, but it took another 12 hours for them to come turn our power back on. Who is in charge of paying bills in your household? Kiwi and I obviously need to work on our system.

*Kiwi and I decided I would make a terrible pioneer woman. It's so good to have my hair dryer back.

  1. i'm sorry but this post made me laugh, reminds me of college when we'd forget to pay also. i keep track of the bills, only because boyfriend is stuck on an island with no internet, phone, anything for most of every month.

    having the power out here would SUCK right now because it is in the upper 90's

  4. Having no electricity is fun for like 2 hours. After that it gets old very very quickly.

  5. Being electricity-less in a house is hell. I don't mind camping and not having electricity, but being in a place with tons of outlets and internet and not having electricity is so horrible. Sorry lady.

  7. I feel like every 3 or 4 months the power at my house goes out because we forgot to pay it, ha! I think paying the G&E bill is one of those adult things I haven't quite got the hang of yet.

  14. Oh no! Being hairdryerless is the worst! Last time we had a black out we invited everyone over for a clean out the freezer party - had a huge BBQ and ate all the ice cream.
