happy halloween! with all the wedding craziness we didn't get to do much celebrating. but mark my words, next year there will be pumpkin carving, and lots of it.
*there may even be owl pumpkins, but that might be pushing it.
i'm gearing up for the final weekend of wedding preparations! after three tests and a presentation looming on monday all i want to do is curl up in bed and sleep. luckily, i've got a pretty amazing support team. i'm pretty sure without my amazing friends i would have given up on wedding planning a long time ago. t-minus eight days!
"There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature."
we are the proud owners of one bona fide marriage license. i suppose this means we are pretty official. for some reason i got really giggly when they asked us to raise our right hands and read the affidavit. kiwi answered with a solemn i do and i went with a nervous yes and turned bright red.
*i'm going to be a mess during the vows. just warning you.
i'm working on a little wedding gift for kiwi... i want him to have something special to commemorate the big day. there is nothing better than planning a surprise for someone you love.
*check out this amazing bride's gift for some major gift giving inspiration.
i just picked up these beautiful beverage jars from sur la table. i am planning on making some delicious sangria for the wedding. does anyone know a good recipe? please share!
pretty much loving everything about this wedding... the light, the flowers, the signs. don't even get me started on the welcome beers in baskets. not surprisingly, it was shot by the infamous max wanger. laid back elegance? yes, please.
*kiwi asked me if i'll ever get sick of looking at wedding photos. answer, no.
maybe arizona didn't get the memo, but it's octoberand it's going to be 100 degrees on saturday. are you kidding me? i can't wait for things to cool down around here so i can break out the cardigans.
*we've been super busy with wedding stuff, but hopefully kiwi will take me to see this movie tonight. i can't wait!
we ordered kiwi's wedding band on etsy this weekend! he picked it out himself. it's made from coyol seed with recycled sterling silver. it really is beautiful.
*as it turns out kiwi has a little streak of green in him... who knew?
it's been a long week at school... i'd like to kick of my shoes and sit on the patio with a lovely lavender lemonade courtesy of design sponge. here's hoping the weekend leaves you energized, refreshed and ready to take on the world (or at least monday).
*i know everyone is so excited about fall... but when it is 95 degrees here in the desert, it's still entirely possible to sit poolside with a nice cocktail. no?
